Head of Finance | Creative Production Business | London / Hybrid

The Client

Harmonic is delighted to be partnering on a retained basis with a creatively driven, high-performing business at an important point in its growth. A small, tight-knit team is delivering a growing slate of work, and the business is attracting increasing attention from larger external partners and investors. As it scales, it is making its first dedicated finance hire to bring structure and commercial clarity to how the company runs.

The Role

This is a true first-hire opportunity, reporting directly to the senior leadership of the business. You will start by getting the foundations right: tightening controls, formalizing month end, and building internal infrastructure around a function that has so far relied on group support, external accountants, and freelance specialists. Those resources stay in place; your job is to pull them into one consistent picture. Once that base is secure, the role is designed to grow with you, from financial control into a genuinely strategic and commercial partnership with the business owner. This is a hands-on and strategic role, and you will be the most senior finance voice in the room, comfortable holding your own in conversations with creative colleagues.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
