A Snapshot of your day
The Head of Finance GS D GSO SGT acts as the strategic finance and commercial partner to the Product Centre leadership team. The role is accountable for planning, steering and analysing financial performance and for translating business priorities into clear financial actions. It combines operational finance leadership with commercial governance, portfolio management and execution of the Service Masterplan across the global SGT service business.
How You'll Make a Difference
- Lead all financial matters for the Product Centre SGT within Global Service Operations in strong collaboration with \6 Regional Service Units
- Own forecasting, budgeting and actual performance analysis, including clear explanation of variances, risks and opportunities
- Provide transparent management information on revenue, margin, cost, cash and key operational performance drivers within Execution unit and towards RSUs
- Drive disciplined financial governance, controls and decision support across the business
- Prepare fact-based scenarios, business cases and recommendations for leadership decisions
- Create end-to-end financial transparency across businesses, portfolios, regions and execution models
- Drive cost awareness, cost competitiveness and productivity through clear targets, performance tracking and corrective actions
- Identify structural cost opportunities and support sustainable improvement measures with Operations, Commercial and regional teams
- Ensure consistent performance definitions and a reliable financial baseline for business steering
Portfolio Management and Business Steering
- Lead financial portfolio management across Long-Term Programs (LTPs), Parts, Modifications & Upgrades (M&U) and Standard Service business
- Establish transparency on portfolio growth, profitability, risk and strategic attractiveness
- Lead the financial execution and performance management of LTPs, Parts, M&U and Standard Service business
- Lead and develop the Commercial Project Management and Bid Management organisations
- Ensure robust commercial governance, risk management and financial quality throughout the project and bid lifecycle
- Support competitive and value-based pricing while protecting profitability and contractual quality
- Drive early identification and mitigation of commercial and financial risks
- Lead all finance aspects of the Service Masterplan for SGT PCC, with particular focus on cost, price, growth and portfolio development.
- Translate strategic ambitions into measurable financial targets, initiatives and execution plans
- Monitor delivery against the Service Masterplan and provide transparency on progress, gaps and required actions
- Connect long-term strategic priorities with annual planning, forecasting and operational execution
- Collaborate closely with Regional Service Units to align global Product Centre priorities with regional market and execution requirements
- Build strong partnerships across Finance, Operations, Sales, Service, Commercial and Bid Management
- Enable transparent cross-regional performance dialogue and drive joint accountability for results
- Influence effectively in a complex global matrix organisation

Leadership and Organisation Development
- Lead managers who are responsible for teams across finance and commercial functions
- Build a high-performing organisation with clear accountability, empowered decision-making and strong collaboration
- Develop leadership capability, functional expertise, talent and succession pipelines
- Promote a culture of transparency, cost ownership, commercial discipline and continuous improvement
What You Bring
- Significant leadership experience in finance, commercial management or a comparable business leadership role
- Proven experience in forecasting, budgeting, actual analysis and performance management
- Experience leading managers and organisations with multiple teams or functional areas
- Strong track record in cost management, business transparency and portfolio steering
- Experience in an international, matrixed and operationally complex environment
- Leadership experience in Commercial Project Management, Sales or Bid Management
- Experience in service, industrial, energy or project-based businesses
- Knowledge of long-term service programs, parts, modifications and upgrades, and standard service offerings
- Experience shaping pricing, growth and portfolio strategies
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline
- A recognised professional finance or accounting qualification is an advantage
