The Mission

As a well-reputed IT Managed Services Provider, we have a credible track record of delivering excellent outsourced IT and Cyber Security Services.

Right now, we are operating in a new industrial revolution, with AI creating the potential for a new era of growth for businesses. Our focus is the everyday economy - midmarket organisations such as accountants, lawyers, financial services firms and agencies - the “do-it-for-me” economy of specialists who excel in their craft and choose to partner for their technology needs. We exist to help these organisations succeed in this moment, and to ensure their people are empowered to do their best work.

At our core, we are a people business. Our success is built on relationships, trust, and the quality of our team. Over the past 30 years, we have established a strong reputation and a distinctive culture that we are proud of. As we pursue our strategic growth ambitions, we are focused on maximising both our brand strength and our professional capabilities - and that means our own back office has to be as sharp, modern, and efficient as the service we sell.

Our mission is to be a best-in-class technology services provider in the UK, supercharging a million workers by becoming a trusted partner and, ultimately, an extension of our clients’ own capabilities - their IT, Cybersecurity, and AI departments. We are building a modern technology services business that combines over 30 years of trust, context, and expertise with the practical deployment of emerging technologies, including AI, across our customer base - and we intend to run our own Finance function the same way.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced, commercially-minded finance leader to take ownership of ramsac’s Finance function as our most senior full-time finance hire. Working closely with our fractional CFO, you will own the day-to-day leadership of the team, the operational transformation of the function, and the commercial finance agenda across the business.

You will lead an established Finance team through this transformation. As AI and automation reshape how the function works, you will shape what the team looks like and how it’s organised to reflect that, with nothing in Finance considered too fixed to challenge.

This role combines strong financial control - accurate reporting, robust processes, tight month-end - with a commercial remit. You will be the financial voice in the room day-to-day for pricing, margin, and profitability decisions. You will build the financial and commercial discipline - forecasting, client profitability, margin governance - that lets ramsac scale profitably rather than simply scale.

What you will build

  • A modern, AI-enabled Finance function. You will lead the redesign of our Finance operating model end-to-end, using automation and AI to remove manual processing, reconciliation, and error-correction work so the team spends its time on analysis and insight rather than admin. You won’t be doing this alone or waiting for off-the-shelf software - you will work directly with our AI Guild, the team of AI engineers building our internal AI platform, to identify, prioritise, and deliver the automation and AI tooling that transforms Finance.
  • Commercial and pricing discipline. Working with our Head of Technical Development, you will introduce the pricing governance, margin controls, and client profitability models that ensure new products, services, and deals are shaped with a financial mindset from the outset, not retrofitted after the fact.
  • Fix causes, not symptoms. You will work cross-departmentally to understand how our end-to-end processes affect Finance - what works and what doesn’t - and then drive efficiencies in the areas that matter most to cost, control, and accuracy.
  • Shaping the business. You will be a full member of the Leadership Team, shaping strategic and investment decisions and working in close partnership with the fractional CFO on the business’s wider financial strategy.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we are looking for

This is a role for someone who is energised by the idea of reshaping a finance function while stepping up as a commercial and strategic voice for the business. You will bring the technical grounding of a qualified accountant with operational leadership experience, combined with the commercial instincts of someone who wants to shape business decisions - not just report on them. You can see the bigger picture and can work as part of a cohesive Leadership Team to drive company growth and strategy whilst keeping the fundamentals of Finance - reporting, control, and compliance - running like clockwork.

You will need:

  • To be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.
  • Significant finance leadership experience, including full ownership of month-end, reporting, and financial control.
  • A track record of leading and developing a finance team through a period of process change or transformation, with people development and wellbeing as genuine priorities.
  • Demonstrable experience in using automation, systems integration, or AI to remove manual work from finance processes - this is core to the role, not a nice-to-have.
  • Strong commercial acumen: experience owning or heavily influencing pricing, margin, and client/product profitability decisions.
  • The ability to work cross-departmentally, diagnosing root causes of upstream errors and building the handoff standards and accountability that prevent them recurring.
  • Confidence operating at Leadership Team level and partnering effectively with a fractional CFO: comfortable presenting, challenging, and influencing strategic decisions, not just executing them.
  • The tenacity and self-management to deliver a rebuild-and-transform agenda while keeping day-to-day financial control tight throughout.

We will be even more excited if you have:

  • Experience in an IT Managed Services, MSP, or similar project-and-recurring-revenue business model.
  • A genuine, hands-on interest in AI tools and automation - you have already used them to remove manual work in a finance context.
  • Experience operating in high-growth environments where speed and ownership matter.

Why You

We chose you not just for the technical finance capability, but for the right mindset: ownership, commercial instinct, transformation driven - to see Finance as a growth lever rather than a back-office cost.

Together, we will build a Finance function that matches the ambition of the business it supports.
