Head of Finance | High-Growth Consumer Brand | London / Hybrid
The Client
Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with a high-growth brand on the search for their first in-house Head of Finance. Selling to trade and direct customers across the UK, Europe and North America, the business is a close-knit team with a warm, sociable culture.
Founder-led and growing fast, the business grew by 40% last year and will turn over around £4m this year, with a target of £5.5-6m next year and a clear ambition to reach £10m within three years. New product launches, a second brand coming shortly and a recently built senior team across operations, sales and people are all driving that growth. Finance is the next piece.
The Role
Reporting to the founders, you will bring finance fully in-house and own it end to end across UK, US and EU entities, covering reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash, payroll, tax, intercompany and stock. Transactional bookkeeping stays with an outsourced provider, so the focus is on control, insight and building a best-in-class function that can carry the business from £4m to £10m.
Just as important is the advisory side. You will be a true sounding board to the founders and senior team on pricing, investment, growth and risk, with the confidence to challenge and the ability to make finance something the whole business values. There is a clear path to Finance Director based on performance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
