Head of Finance

Chilworth Partnership is delighted to be exclusively partnering with a leading infrastructure business, to support them in the recruitment of a proven Head of Finance. Joining the business in a senior leadership capacity, the Head of Finance will inherit a large team responsible for financial reporting, internal controls, finance business partnering and financial governance.

Key purpose of the Head of Finance role:

• Lead and develop a high-performing finance function, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and alignment with organisational values and behaviours.
• Own the delivery of accurate and insightful financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and performance analysis for internal stakeholders and the parent company, supporting strategic decision-making.
• Drive finance transformation through the development of financial systems, process optimisation, and the adoption of modern technologies, including ERP, forecasting platforms, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Ensure robust financial governance through effective controls, statutory reporting, audit management, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and the practical application of evolving accounting standards.
• Lead business partnering across operational, commercial, and project teams, providing consistent financial support, forecasting, and commercial insight across the organisation.
• Act as a key member of the Extended Leadership Team, collaborating on cross-functional initiatives, innovation, problem-solving, and maintaining strong engagement with the parent company finance function.
