The Business
We're working with an established independent creative agency that's built a fantastic reputation for delivering standout work across branding, advertising and digital. Turning over around £18mill, they're at an exciting point in their journey, with a strong client base, consistent growth and ambitious plans for the next few years.
As the business continues to evolve, they're looking for a Head of Finance to take ownership of the finance function and act as a genuine commercial partner to the leadership team.
This isn't a role where you'll sit behind a spreadsheet all day. You'll be involved in the conversations that shape the business, providing financial insight, challenging where needed and helping the agency make better commercial decisions.

The Role
Reporting into the MD and working closely with a Fractional CFO, you'll oversee the day-to-day finance function while supporting the wider business on everything from forecasting and cash flow through to client profitability and strategic planning.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Producing monthly management accounts and board reporting
- Leading the budgeting and forecasting process
- Monitoring agency performance, analysing margins and providing commercial insight
- Owning cash flow forecasting and working capital
- Supporting department heads with financial planning and decision making
- Reviewing WIP, revenue recognition and utilisation across client teams
- Managing year-end audit, statutory reporting and tax compliance
- Maintaining and improving financial controls and processes
- Leading and developing a small finance team
- Working closely with external advisors, auditors and banking partners where required

About You
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with previous experience in a creative, media, marketing or professional services business.
- Enjoy working closely with non-finance stakeholders and won't be afraid to challenge the numbers or ask the right questions.
- Someone who can balance the technical side of finance with a commercial mindset and who enjoys improving processes as much as supporting strategic decisions.
- Experience of project-based accounting, WIP and agency reporting would be a real advantage.
Salary:
£80-110K + bonus + shares
