Interim Head of Finance – Fintech
📍 London | 3 days per week in the office ⏳ 3–6 months 💰 £500-700 per day via umbrella 🗓 Must be immediately available
I’m working with a fast-growing, FCA-regulated fintech business looking to appoint an experienced Interim Head of Finance / Finance Director for an initial 3–6 month assignment.
This is a senior, hands-on role working closely with the CEO and wider leadership team, taking ownership of the finance function and providing stability and leadership through an important period for the business.
A key immediate priority will be taking ownership of an ongoing audit, alongside ensuring a strong financial control environment and supporting the wider strategic agenda.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Exposure to structured finance / warehouse funding within a lending environment would be advantageous, although the business has dedicated expertise in this area.
The role will typically require three days per week in the London office, with some flexibility. Candidates looking for a 3–4 day working week may also be considered depending on experience.
