Employment Type: Permanent
Location: West London
Salary Guide: Attractive Market Rate + Bonus + Benefits
REF: DC54150
We are partnering with a market leading, media and premium real estate development business to appoint a commercially minded, hands-on Head of Finance. Operating through an established portfolio and maintaining deep-rooted joint venture and landlord relationships across public and private funds, the business is scaling dynamically.
Description
This is a newly created, highly visible finance leadership role reporting directly to the Managing Director, with extensive exposure to the company’s Founder. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the finance function, playing a central role in designing and implementing robust financial control environments while driving the future strategy and direction of the company. This is an exceptional opportunity for an entrepreneurial, lively finance professional to join an ambitious team based in a modern West London office.
The Head of Finance position takes full responsibility for designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust financial control environment and consistent accounting procedures across a multi-company group structure. The successful applicant will lead all budgeting, forecasting, and group planning processes to support key commercial decisions, while overseeing multi-entity accounting, intercompany reconciliations, consolidations, and timely group reporting formats. A critical element of the role involves business partnering, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership to provide clear, actionable financial commentary to non-finance professionals while constructively challenging decisions. Additionally, the Head of Finance will drive data efficiency and process improvement by leveraging advanced Excel, core accounting systems like Sage, and modern AI automation tools.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
