We’ve partnered with fast-scaling menswear brand Legend London, who are now looking to secure a Head of Finance to help build a scalable finance function capable of supporting their continued international growth.
Legend London is currently growing year-on-year, while maintaining a strong focus on profitability. The business now requires an experienced, commercially minded finance leader who understands the financial and operational complexity that comes with scaling a consumer business towards 9-figures in annual revenue.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can combine strong financial control with commercial judgement, strategic insight and operational execution. You’ll work directly with the founders, Fractional CFO and senior leadership team, providing the financial clarity and challenge required to support ambitious but sustainable growth.

Role Overview
As Head of Finance, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function and help build the financial infrastructure required to support Legend London’s continued growth.
Your remit will cover financial control, management reporting, cash flow, working capital, inventory, forecasting, international operations, systems and team development.
This role goes beyond reporting historic performance. You will provide the founders and leadership team with clear, actionable insight across revenue, gross margin, contribution margin, profitability, inventory and cash generation.
You will work closely with the Founder/CEO and Fractional CFO, acting as the senior in-house finance leader and a trusted commercial partner across the business.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 12–18 months, you will have:
- Established Finance as a proactive and influential commercial partner
- Improved visibility across revenue, gross margin, contribution margin, profitability and cash generation
- Built robust forecasting, scenario-planning and performance-management processes
- Strengthened cash-flow forecasting and working-capital management
- Improved inventory reporting, stock controls and product-level profitability analysis
- Established an accurate, efficient and timely month-end process
- Delivered trusted management and board reporting to support strategic decisions
- Improved group reporting and consolidation across all international entities
- Embedded robust financial controls, governance and accountability
- Strengthened tax, audit and statutory compliance across each territory
- Developed a scalable finance systems roadmap and led the implementation of appropriate ERP and automation solutions
- Built and developed a high-performing finance team capable of supporting further growth

Main Responsibilities
AI, Systems & Process Improvement
- Lead the migration from Xero to a fully integrated ERP platform
- Define finance system requirements alongside key stakeholders
- Drive automation, standardisation and AI adoption across the finance function
- Reduce manual processes and improve the accuracy and efficiency of reporting
- Introduce scalable systems capable of supporting continued international growth
Financial Reporting & Control
- Own the monthly close process across all entities
- Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts
- Deliver board reporting, KPI dashboards and meaningful commercial commentary
- Continually improve the monthly reporting pack using Xero and Fathom
- Ensure all balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled and appropriately supported
- Develop and maintain a robust financial control environment
- Lead annual audit preparation and manage external auditor relationships
- Maintain accounting policies and ensure compliance with relevant standards
Group Finance & International Operations
- Lead monthly consolidation across the UK, UAE, Netherlands and US businesses
- Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations and eliminations
- Ensure accurate foreign currency accounting and multi-currency reporting
- Coordinate the preparation of statutory accounts
- Manage relationships with international tax advisers
- Ensure VAT, corporation tax and other statutory filings are completed accurately and on time across all jurisdictions
Commercial Finance & Business Partnering
- Analyse business performance, profitability and margins
- Provide meaningful commentary and actionable commercial insights alongside monthly results
- Support budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning
- Build financial models and scenario analysis for strategic initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability and cash generation
- Partner with operational leaders to support commercial decision-making
- Challenge spending and identify cost-saving opportunities across the business
Cash Flow & Working Capital
- Monitor and optimise cash flow and working capital performance
- Own cash forecasting and liquidity planning
- Oversee inventory accounting and stock reconciliations
- Support credit control and supplier payment processes
- Improve visibility across cash requirements and future investment decisions

Leadership & Team Development
- Build, develop and lead a scalable finance function
- Recruit and develop additional team members as the business grows
- Manage and coach the overseas bookkeeper

Required Skills & Experience
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- 5+ years’ post-qualified experience as a Head of Finance or in a similar senior finance role
- Experience within eCommerce, retail, consumer goods, FMCG or another fast-growing, multi-entity business
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Experience preparing consolidated management accounts across international, multi-currency group structures
- Proven experience improving financial reporting, controls and processes
- Experience managing audits, statutory reporting and tax compliance
- Strong commercial acumen and business-partnering skills
- Confidence influencing both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills and experience analysing large data sets
- Experience managing and developing finance team members
Bonus If You Have
- Experience implementing an ERP system
- Experience introducing AI and automation across finance
- Previous exposure to fast-scaling DTC or eCommerce brands
- Experience using Xero and Fathom
- Experience supporting a business through rapid international expansion
- Exposure to inventory accounting within a product-led business
