Head of Finance Operations

£75,000 – £80,000 per annum | Uxbridge | Hybrid

Are you an experienced Finance Operations leader who thrives on improving processes, transforming systems and building high-performing transactional finance teams?

We are recruiting for a Head of Finance Operations to join a growing, multi-site organisation at an exciting stage of its development.

This is not a traditional Head of Finance or Financial Controller position. The role is firmly focused on Finance Operations and the effective running, transformation and development of high-volume transactional finance functions.

The Role

As Head of Finance Operations, you will take ownership of the day-to-day Finance Operations function, including:

  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Payroll Operations
  • Transaction Processing
  • Finance systems and workflows
  • Operational controls and governance
  • Process improvement, automation and transformation

You will lead and develop the Finance Operations teams while reviewing how the function currently operates and identifying opportunities to make processes faster, smarter, more scalable and less reliant on manual intervention.

A major part of the role will be helping the organisation build a scalable, shared services-style Finance Operations model capable of supporting continued growth.

Transformation, Automation & AI

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys challenging existing ways of working. You will identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate high-volume finance processes across areas such as invoice processing, reconciliations, cash allocation, payroll validation, reporting and exception management.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The organisation is also keen to explore the continued use of automation and AI within Finance Operations, so we are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate how they have used technology to improve efficiency, accuracy and service delivery.

Systems experience will be an important part of this appointment.

You will play a key role in optimising ERP and finance systems, improving workflows, integrations, reporting, controls and data quality.

NetSuite experience would be highly desirable, although we are equally interested in candidates who have successfully implemented, transformed or optimised other major ERP systems within complex Finance Operations environments.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact within a growing organisation. You'll have the scope to shape how Finance Operations works, develop the team, improve processes, maximise technology and create a scalable function capable of supporting the organisation's future growth.
