A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Head of Finance Operations to join its senior finance leadership team in London. This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious finance leader to join a dynamic, growing organisation and play a central role in shaping the future of its finance function.
Following a period of sustained growth and investment, the firm is undertaking a significant finance transformation programme aimed at modernising processes, enhancing reporting capabilities and leveraging technology to drive greater efficiency and commercial insight across an international business. This newly enhanced leadership role will play a key part in delivering that agenda.

Reporting to the CFO
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a broad operational finance function, overseeing financial control, accounting and reporting, partnership accounting, finance systems and transformation initiatives, while managing sizeable teams across multiple locations. The role will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business and partner with commercial finance and pricing leadership to support strategic decision-making and business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of group accounting and external audit processes
- Enhance management information and KPI reporting
- Oversee complex partnership accounting arrangements
- Champion automation and technology-led improvements
- Play a key role in shaping the future direction of finance within a dynamic and growing organisation

Requirements
- Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Significant experience operating within a law firm or other professional services environment
- Strong understanding of operational finance, financial control, partnership accounting and business transformation
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead high-performing teams
