Head of Finance Operations

Uxbridge | £65,000 - £70,000 | Hybrid (4 Days Office / 1 Day Home)

Are you an experienced Finance Operations leader with a passion for driving operational excellence, process improvement and transformation?

We're recruiting for a senior leadership opportunity with a growing organisation seeking an accomplished Head of Finance Operations to lead and develop a high-performing transactional finance function.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in Finance Operations or Shared Services, who enjoys leading teams, improving processes and implementing technology to deliver greater efficiency across a multi-site business.

The Role

You'll have overall responsibility for the Finance Operations function, leading teams across:

  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Payroll
  • Finance Transaction Processing

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll drive continuous improvement, optimise finance systems and lead transformation projects that enhance operational performance and support future business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop large Finance Operations teams.
  • Drive process improvement, automation and operational efficiencies.
  • Lead finance transformation and change programmes.
  • Optimise ERP and finance systems, including NetSuite where applicable.
  • Develop robust financial controls, governance and operational KPIs.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Finance, HR, Procurement and Operations.
  • Champion continuous improvement and AI-enabled efficiencies within Finance Operations.

About You

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Significant experience leading a high-volume Finance Operations or Shared Services function.
  • Leadership of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Transaction Processing teams.
  • A proven track record of finance transformation, automation and process optimisation.
  • Experience implementing or improving ERP systems (NetSuite highly desirable).
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within growing or multi-site organisations.
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
