About the Role
CMC Consulting are recruiting on behalf of a high-profile organisation, this is a senior commercial finance position with responsibility for shaping financial strategy, supporting scheme design and ensuring long-term financial sustainability. Reporting into the CFO and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with strong commercial and operational delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a significant investment and grant programme, ensuring funding is allocated effectively and delivers against strategic objectives.
- Provide financial input into pricing strategies, including the commercialisation and sale of recovered materials.
- Support the negotiation and management of key commercial contracts, providing financial analysis and challenge where required.
- Develop robust financial and performance reporting, enabling senior stakeholders to assess profitability, performance and commercial outcomes.
- Provide insight into profit-sharing arrangements and commercial performance, supporting informed decision-making at senior level.
- Lead the development of the scheme's long-term investment strategy, with a focus on improving operational resilience and the quality and value of recovered materials.
- Partner closely with the CFO, Senior Leadership Team and wider operational stakeholders to translate financial analysis into commercially focused decisions.
- Balance financial sustainability, operational requirements and strategic performance targets across the scheme.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, commercial performance and long-term value creation.

Key Requirements

- Fully qualified CIMA, ACCA or equivalent.
- 10+ years' relevant finance experience, ideally including senior commercial or strategic finance responsibility.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect financial strategy with operational delivery.
- Experience within supply chain, logistics, FMCG, manufacturing, beverages or another complex operational environment would be advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence senior leadership and negotiate across commercial functions.
