Divisional Head of Finance

Divisional Head of Finance required to support a fantastic international group based in Birmingham, West Midlands. This role would suit an experienced Financial Controller or Head of Finance with experience in the service sector who can report into a demanding group structure.

About the Role

As the Head of Finance, you'll be responsible for leading a team that outputs monthly reporting, governance, and FP&A. Your day-to-day will primarily include:

  • Managing the output of monthly management accounts, including variance and commentary
  • Business partnering relevant departmental managers to challenge results and deliver improvements where necessary
  • Managing FP&A activities including cash flow forecasting, liaising with the group FP&A team
  • Balance sheet reporting and management
  • Producing annual year-end reporting and statutory accounts
  • Supporting the annual audit activities, including being the lead point of contact to auditors for your division
  • Managing a team of part-qualified and qualified accountants and business partners, developing the team to achieve best practice and managing their career roadmaps
  • Continuous improvement to reflect modern working practices, and implementing strong financial controls in line with new reporting standards
  • Project work as required by the group leadership to support the business' ongoing transformation journey

  • Will have experience in large organizations
  • Will be a strong business partner able to influence and challenge

  • Will have excellent financial reporting knowledge, but also a strong commercial skill
