A respected purpose-led organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to join its senior leadership team.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the finance function, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring robust financial controls, reporting, forecasting, and governance across the organisation. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will provide commercial insight and financial leadership while helping to drive organisational performance and continuous improvement.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
✔ Lead budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management, and financial reporting
✔ Provide financial insight and management information to support strategic decisions
✔ Partner with senior leaders to drive organisational performance and financial planning
✔ Ensure robust financial controls, governance, and compliance processes
✔ Oversee finance systems and support ongoing process improvements
✔ Manage relationships with auditors, suppliers, and external service providers
✔ Support risk management and business planning activities
✔ Drive operational efficiency through improved systems and controls
✔ Lead and develop members of the finance team
✔ Contribute to wider organisational strategy as part of the leadership team

🔹 Essential Experience
✔ Professional accounting qualification
✔ Previous experience leading a finance function
✔ Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting skills
✔ Confident business partnering with senior stakeholders
✔ Experience with Microsoft Business Central
✔ Knowledge of Dynamics and Power Automate
✔ Systems implementation and process improvement experience
✔ Experience managing user access and business systems
✔ Able to turn financial data into meaningful business insights
✔ Commercially minded with strong financial controls knowledge
✔ Experience managing external suppliers and auditors
✔ SORP experience
✔ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
