Head of Finance - Real Assets

London | Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer | Permanent

The Business

A well-established real estate investment business with a substantial UK portfolio and a growing presence in continental Europe. It invests alongside institutional capital partners through joint venture structures, and reports to institutional and public-market standards.

The business is in a clear expansion phase - new partnership vehicles, new European markets, and a materially larger platform over the coming years. This role exists to build the finance capability that supports it.

The Opportunity

You will own finance end to end for the group's partnership investments and its European platform: reporting, planning, governance, treasury and tax coordination across multiple entities and jurisdictions.

This is a build role as much as a stewardship one. Alongside running the existing structures cleanly, you will design the reporting and control framework that new vehicles and new jurisdictions plug into and you will do it sitting close to the CFO and the investment team rather than at a remove from them.

What You Will Own

Reporting and Control

  • Quarterly, half-year and annual reporting for the partnership and international entities under IFRS.
  • Board and investor reporting packs, management accounts and performance reporting.
  • Interim and year-end audits, delivered to tight external deadlines.
  • The control framework across all entities — designed once, and applied consistently as the platform scales.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, with roughly five years or more post-qualification experience.
  • Strong technical accounting under IFRS, and strong financial modelling and Excel capability.
  • Experience of complex multi-entity or multi-jurisdiction structures; joint venture experience is a distinct advantage.
  • Exposure to acquisitions, disposals and financing transactions.
  • Comfortable as the finance voice in front of boards, capital partners, lenders and auditors.
  • Suited to someone who wants genuine breadth early, rather than a narrow lane inside a large finance function.

Why This Role

  • Full ownership of a discrete and substantial part of a growing platform, with direct CFO and board exposure.
  • Visible involvement in transactions and new market entry — shaping structures, not reporting on them after the fact.
  • A small, high-calibre team where scope expands with the platform and contribution is traceable.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.

Applications and enquiries are handled in strict confidence. Full role detail and client information are shared with candidates at shortlist stage.
