Head of Finance | High-Growth FinTech | London (Hybrid) | £70,000 - £80,000

Our client is a high-growth, investor-backed fintech business entering an exciting phase of expansion. As the business continues to scale, they are looking to appoint an ambitious Head of Finance to lead the UK finance function and work closely with the wider finance team.

Responsibilities

Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of the finance function, ensuring robust financial processes, strong governance and insightful reporting are embedded as the business continues its growth journey.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the finance function across financial control, reporting, treasury and operational finance.
  • Owning budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
  • Managing cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning and key treasury activities.
  • Ensuring strong financial controls, governance and risk management frameworks are maintained.
  • Producing high-quality management information, reporting packs and financial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Partnering closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Risk and Compliance.
  • Supporting regulatory and statutory reporting requirements within a regulated environment.
  • Managing relationships with external auditors and professional advisers.
  • Driving improvements across finance processes, systems and reporting infrastructure.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider finance team to ensure consistency, accuracy and best practice.

Requirements

You will be:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
  • Previous experience within an FCA-regulated environment; candidates from high-growth fintech businesses will also be considered.
  • Proven experience leading or significantly developing a finance function within a scaling organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of financial control, reporting, treasury, forecasting and financial analysis.
  • Experience partnering with senior leadership teams and influencing strategic decisions.
  • A track record of improving processes, implementing controls and creating scalable finance infrastructure.
  • Strong systems and ERP experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate effectively across all levels of a business.
