Head of Finance - PE Backed SaaS
Permanent
Location: UK - Remote (travel to London when required)
Salary: £90,000 - £95,000 (+ 20% bonus)
We are supporting a fast-growing, PE-backed technology business to recruit an experienced Head of Finance.
Operating within a SaaS and data-led environment, the business is going through a significant period of growth and acquisition. This is a key leadership appointment, reporting directly to the CFO and taking ownership of the core finance function while supporting the continued integration of newly acquired businesses.
The role would suit a commercially minded, hands-on finance leader with experience operating within a fast-paced, multi-entity environment, ideally within technology, SaaS or a PE/VC-backed organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the wider finance team across management accounts, accounts payable, credit control, payroll and general ledger
- Deliver accurate monthly management accounts, variance analysis, KPI reporting and board commentary
- Support the financial integration of acquisitions, including onboarding newly acquired businesses into group finance processes
- Oversee cash flow, working capital, intercompany balances and funding requirements
- Lead budgeting and forecasting across the consolidated group
- Manage lender reporting, covenant tracking and relationships with external finance providers
- Develop scalable financial systems, controls and processes to support continued growth
- Ensure accurate statutory, tax, payroll and audit compliance
- Produce high-quality reporting and financial insight for the CFO, board, investors and lenders

About You
- Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Significant post-qualified finance experience
- Experience within SaaS, technology or a PE/VC-backed environment
- Exposure to multi-entity finance and acquisition integration
- Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting experience
- Experience managing and developing finance teams
- Understanding of SaaS financial metrics and IFRS 15 revenue recognition
- Experience of lender covenant reporting would be highly advantageous
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, entrepreneurial and fast-moving environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work with senior leadership, investors and external partners
