Overview
Little Dish make healthy food kids love. They’re a fast-growing, purpose-led brand on a mission to make children healthier and family life that little bit easier with their nutritious, and delicious meals that busy parents can feel good about serving, and little ones love to eat. They have ambitious plans and need equally ambitious people to help deliver them. This hire is the number 1 finance seat, with a straight line to the CEO and a transaction to build toward.
The core of the role is FP&A, commercial finance and business partnering. Transactional work stays outsourced, so you're focused on strategic partnering, FP&A and commercial finance – readying them for a transaction.

What you'll do
FP&A & commercial finance leadership
- Own budgeting, forecasting and the monthly reporting rhythm
- Build the planning and performance toolkit the next stage of growth needs
- Commercial finance lead for the business (scenario planning, financial modelling, performance analysis etc.)
Controls & process build
- Oversee the outsourced provider - a review layer, with transactional delivery staying out of house
- Build the processes and controls Little Dish needs in place ahead of a potential event
- Shape what comes in-house over time, and what stays out
Transaction readiness & investor support
- Learn the market-facing fundraising and due diligence side directly from a CEO with a proven private equity background
What you'll need
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Must have proven commercial finance / business partnering and FP&A skills with a solid accounting foundation behind it.
- Food or consumer background preferred and must have experience growing and scaling brands.
- Must be comfortable in the dual nature of the role: comfortable being hands on where needed in support of the outsourced provider and equally capable of partnering strategically with senior leadership.

Hillary Graves started Little Dish from her kitchen in Notting Hill in 2006, after discovering that most supermarket food for babies and toddlers had a shelf life older than the child she wanted to feed and lacked nutritional value. Her answer was fresh food made the way families cook at home - natural ingredients, no additives or preservatives, and a shelf life measured in days. A trial in 20 Waitrose stores grew into listings across Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons, Waitrose and Ocado, plus Gousto and HelloFresh.

Today Little Dish is the UK market leader in fresh kids’ meals, circa £50mil, with more than 250 million meals sold and making up c.90% of UK kids' chilled meals. Every recipe is nutritionist approved and taste-tested by a panel of 200 Tiny Tasters before it goes anywhere near a shelf. The range has also extended to Big Dish, for 5 to 10 year olds, and the Superstars range: a better, healthier answer to the chicken nugget.
They’re also fully committed to having a positive impact, with 500,000+ meals donated through The Felix Project (charity work that’s feeding hungry children). and the whole range ships in 100% recyclable wood-fibre trays. Meaning your role will further enable those initiatives!
