Your new company
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially minded Head of Finance to join a growing group of SME companies. Reporting directly to the leadership team, you will take ownership of the finance function across multiple entities, providing strategic financial insight, robust financial control, and hands-on leadership to support continued growth.
Your new role
You will lead all aspects of financial management, ensuring the delivery of:
- Accurate reporting
- Strong governance
- Effective cash management
- Strategic support to the wider business
You will oversee a small finance team while driving continuous improvement across systems, processes, and controls. You will oversee all aspects of:
- Management accounting
- Budgeting
- Forecasting
- Cash flow management
- Financial reporting

Ensuring the timely production of accurate management accounts and key performance metrics. You will be responsible for maintaining robust financial controls, statutory compliance, and governance across the group, including:
- Year-end accounts
- Taxation
- Regulatory reporting
In addition, you will manage banking relationships, optimise working capital, and support commercial initiatives through:
- Profitability analysis
- Pricing reviews
- Business case development
- Strategic projects
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified Accountant with previous experience of working as a Head of Finance / Financial Controller within a SME business. Strong management accounting, reporting, and financial control expertise along with team management.
