We're Hiring a Head of Finance Systems, Tax & Governance at GBA Logistics
Location: One of our locations in either Preston/Warrington/Manchester with hybrid working | Full-time, permanent contract
Salary: Competitive (DOE) & Car Allowance

The Role
As our new Head of Finance Systems, Tax & Governance, you will report into the Group Finance Director and support a dynamic Group Company in building robust controls, improving processes and partnering with senior leaders to drive optimisation across financial systems, tax compliance and audit and framework governance. You'll work closely with the Group Finance Director and Financial Controller and the Business Unit Finance teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- NetSuite ownership and development
- Tax compliance (UK and international)
- Internal audit and controls framework
- Governance and financial policies
- Systems roadmap and automation
- Support to Group consolidation and audit
- Group Treasury
- Prepare and submit Group VAT returns
- Act as gatekeeper for:
- Government Gateway platform
- Companies House submissions
- Administer key finance systems, including:
- NetSuite, including the Solution 7 Excel reporting tool
- Invoice approval system
- HSBCnet
- Emburse expense reporting software
- Manage treasury activities, including:
- Invoice discounting management
- Review overseas bank accounts
- Post month-end payroll entries for GBA Services and GBA Management Services

About You - we're looking for someone who brings:
- Previous experience in a senior finance role for a multi-entity Group Company (essential)
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with post-qualification experience (essential)
- Chartered membership (desirable)
- Strong systems experience (essential) - NetSuite (desirable)
- VAT management experience (essential)
- Treasury Management experience (essential)
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders (essential)
- Experience supporting external audits (essential)
- Proactive and solutions-focused strategic approach
