Head of Finance – East Kent
We are recruiting a permanent Head of Finance for an established FMCG business in the Ramsgate area.
The Head of Finance will be a hands-on leadership role where you will take responsibility for the day-to-day financial operations of the business, while managing and developing a small finance team. You will work closely with senior leadership to provide accurate financial insight, strengthen financial processes and support strategic decision making as the company continues to expand.

- Onsite role – Monday to Friday 8-5.30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day finance operations, preparing month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments.
- Maintaining control accounts, bank reconciliations and the nominal ledger.
- Producing monthly P&L, balance sheet, variance and margin reports.
- VAT calculations, returns and submissions.
- Overseeing credit control.
- Providing financial analysis on revenue, expenditure and performance.
- Improving financial systems, processes and policies during business growth.
- Leading annual external audit preparation and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Monitoring budgets and KPIs, investigating variances and recommending actions.
- Mentoring and developing four direct reports to achieve team KPIs.

About the Head of Finance
- Ideally CIMA or ACCA qualified
- Experience of working in a similar role with a turnover in excess of £20m+
- Proficient producing management accounts and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience managing or mentoring finance team members.
- Strong communication with the ability articulate complex financial information.
- Proven ability to improve processes and support business growth.
