Head of Finance
Our large international client in the manufacturing industry are looking for a new Head of Finance (Commercial) to join their growing team in London. Reporting into the Finance Director, this is a key position where you will be tasked with leading on pricing strategy, informing insights and contributing to strategic decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead pricing forecasts and develop short and long-term pricing scenarios to support strategic planning.
- Analyse key market and commodity drivers, translating movements into meaningful financial and commercial insight.
- Develop financial models and scenario analysis to assess the impact of changes in pricing, demand and supply.
- Partner with senior finance, commercial and operational stakeholders to support informed business decisions.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting activity relating to pricing, margins and external purchase costs.
- Provide clear analysis of business performance, identifying key risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Own and continuously improve internal pricing and transfer pricing processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and appropriate controls.
- Support integrated business planning, ensuring the financial implications of commercial decisions are understood.
- Present financial performance and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Coach and develop finance capability while promoting a strong business partnering culture.

The ideal candidate will be:

- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant post-qualified experience.
- Previous experience operating within a senior finance leadership position, such as Head of Finance, Financial Controller or equivalent.
- Strong commercial finance, financial modelling, forecasting and scenario planning experience.
- Excellent business partnering skills with demonstrable experience influencing senior stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating within a large, complex and matrix organisation.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting, governance and controls alongside broader commercial finance capabilities.
- Experience working within a multinational environment would be beneficial.
- Exposure to commodity pricing, pricing analysis or a business impacted by fluctuating input costs would be highly advantageous.
- Previous exposure to internal transfer pricing environments would also be beneficial.
