The Role
Finatal is supporting a growing Private Equity backed manufacturing business in the appointment of a commercially focused Head of Finance. Following a period of sustained growth, the business is seeking an experienced finance leader to strengthen financial reporting, improve operational performance, and support the delivery of its strategic objectives.
Reporting directly to the CFO and partnering closely with the wider leadership team, this role offers significant exposure to decision making and will be instrumental in driving financial and operational excellence.
You will be responsible for leading all core finance activities while helping to shape strategic initiatives across manufacturing operations, supply chain, procurement, inventory management, and capital investment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and business planning processes.
- Deliver insightful management information and board reporting.
- Partner with operational and commercial teams to drive profitability and performance.
- Improve financial controls, processes, and governance across the business.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Support strategic initiatives including growth projects, capex, and potential M&A activity.
- Drive continuous improvement across reporting, systems, and working capital management.

Requirements
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
- Proven finance leadership experience within Private Equity backed manufacturing, industrials, or engineering businesses.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, reporting, and forecasting.
- Experience partnering with operational stakeholders and influencing decision-making.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insight.
- Strong team leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in a high-growth, private equity-backed, or complex environment is advantageous.
- Hands-on, ambitious, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced business.
