Head of Finance

Salary – Negotiable; plus Bonus, Car Allowance, Private Health (Family cover), Income Protection, and life assurance. Closing date - 20th October 2026

NATS is the UK’s leading air navigation service provider, handling over 2.4 million flights each year. We provide air traffic control services from two control centres and at airports around the UK. We also provide a wide range of commercial products and solutions internationally. Our people are at the heart of our purpose to advance aviation and keep the skies safe.

Role Purpose

The Head of Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial health, integrity, and strategic direction of the NATS Growth organisation. Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will lead a geographically distributed finance team and serve as a trusted business partner to the Growth Leadership Team, providing the financial insight needed to support sustainable commercial growth.

The role carries dual responsibility across elements of technical accounting and FP&A. The Head of Finance will own the production of a consolidated P&L across multiple legal entities/branches and systems, and oversee internal financial controls, lead budgeting, forecasting and planning cycles across global operations. The role will also coordinate with Group Finance across a number of areas, including statutory audit support, tax compliance, and the application of transfer pricing frameworks.

This is a high-impact role suited to a commercially minded, self-starting, and qualified finance professional who combines technical rigour with the ability to engage and influence at a senior level.

Key Accountabilities

Financial Reporting and Control

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of a consolidated monthly P&L across multiple entities and branches, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency
  • Oversee and maintain the internal controls framework, ensuring financial policies are implemented and adhered to across the organisation
  • Coordinate with Group Financial Control on statutory audit requirements and act as the primary finance liaison for external auditors in relation to the Growth organisation
  • Oversee the application of transfer pricing policies across intercompany transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
