Stanton House is partnering with a high-growth, technology-enabled financial services business to appoint a senior finance leader reporting directly to the CFO.

Operating within a regulated environment, the organisation has established strong funding relationships and is entering a significant phase of growth. This role offers the opportunity to shape the finance function, improve reporting and controls, support strategic decision-making, and work closely with senior leadership, funding partners, and investors.

Role

This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for the finance function, encompassing FP&A, financial control, finance operations, funding oversight, and treasury-related activities.

Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will provide financial leadership across the business, ensuring accurate reporting, strong governance, effective planning processes, and robust support for strategic decision-making.

The role offers significant exposure to the Executive team and Board, alongside ownership of key external stakeholder relationships including auditors, lenders, and funding providers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
  • Deliver timely and insightful financial and operational performance reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives, investment cases, and business decisions.
  • Provide commercial challenge and insight to improve performance, profitability, and cash generation.
  • Support strategic planning, growth initiatives, and capital allocation decisions.
  • Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of management accounts, statutory reporting, and financial statements.
  • Lead external audit processes and maintain strong relationships with auditors and advisers.
  • Maintain and enhance financial controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes.
  • Drive automation, process improvement, and reporting efficiencies across finance.
  • Oversee finance operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and transactional finance activities.
  • Ensure finance processes remain scalable and fit for purpose as the business grows.
  • Manage lender and funding stakeholder relationships.
  • Oversee liquidity planning, funding utilisation, covenant compliance, and capital management activities.
  • Support refinancing, funding optimisation, and facility expansion initiatives.
  • Develop and lead high-performing teams across FP&A, financial control, operations, and funding activities.
  • Build strong business partnering capabilities across the wider organisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
