Head of Finance
North Manchester
Hybrid Working | Up to £90,000 + Bonus

We're partnering with an ambitious founder-led consumer brand that is scaling at pace, expanding internationally, and investing heavily in the next phase of its growth journey. Following a period of exceptional success, the business is now looking to appoint its first Head of Finance.
This is an opportunity to build. To influence. To shape strategy. And ultimately, to position yourself as the future CFO of the business.
The Business
Our client is a highly successful consumer brand with a strong direct-to-consumer and omnichannel presence. Now entering its next phase of growth, the company is expanding internationally, investing in new markets, growing its partnerships, and continuing to scale its operations globally.
Despite the growth, the business has retained the entrepreneurial culture and agility that made it successful in the first place.
The Opportunity
This is not a role where you'll inherit a large finance team or a mature finance function. Instead, you'll become the senior finance leader within the business and take ownership of building the finance capability required to support the next stage of growth.
The business has strong foundations in place but now requires a hands-on and commercially focused Head of Finance who can bring greater visibility, forecasting capability, financial control, and strategic insight.
You'll work directly alongside the Founder, Managing Director, and Senior Leadership Team, becoming a trusted adviser and key decision-maker across the organisation.

What You'll Be Responsible For
Strategic Finance
- Partner with the Founder and Senior Leadership Team on business strategy
- Support major commercial and operational decisions
- Deliver financial insight that drives profitability and sustainable growth
- Build financial models to assess investments, growth opportunities, and strategic initiatives
- Provide challenge and support to senior stakeholders
Forecasting & Planning
- Own budgeting and forecasting processes
- Develop robust cash flow forecasting capability
- Deliver scenario planning and financial modelling
- Improve visibility around future performance and investment requirements
- Support decision-making through data-driven analysis
Financial Control & Reporting
- Improve financial reporting and management information
- Strengthen controls, governance, and financial processes
- Develop meaningful KPI reporting and performance dashboards
- Oversee monthly management accounts and reporting cycles
- Partner with external advisors where required
Commercial Business Partnering
- Work closely with Operations, Marketing, Commercial, and Leadership teams
- Provide insight on profitability, resource allocation, and investment decisions
- Support international expansion and growth initiatives
- Drive greater understanding of financial performance across the business
Building the Function
- Create structure and scalability within finance
- Develop processes fit for a high-growth environment
- Help shape the future finance team as the business continues to expand
- Establish finance as a true commercial partner to the wider business

Who We're Looking For
We're interested in speaking with ambitious finance professionals who thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
- Experienced within retail, eCommerce, consumer products, beauty, or founder-led businesses
- Commercially minded and comfortable influencing senior stakeholders
- Strong in forecasting, financial modelling, and business partnering
- Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on
- Someone who enjoys building processes rather than inheriting them
This role will particularly appeal to individuals who feel ready for a broader leadership role and are looking for a genuine pathway towards CFO responsibility.

Package
- Bolton (Hybrid – 3 days in the office)
- Up to £90,000 base salary (but let's chat on this)
- Up to 10% bonus
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Additional gifted days over Christmas
- Enhanced maternity & paternity package
- 37.5-hour working week
- Genuine progression route towards FD/CFO
