Founding Finance Lead | AI Scale-up | London

Our client is a fast-scaling international AI and technology company headquartered in London, having exponentially grown annual recurring revenue. They're now ready to bring finance in-house for the first time, and this is the hire that makes it happen.

The opportunity

As the company's first finance professional, you'll build the function from scratch: setting up processes, controls and systems, and deciding what to run internally, what to outsource and what to automate. The early focus is hands-on and technical. Once the foundations are stable, the role shifts towards operational leadership, with a team built around you.

What you'll own

Revenue and billing

  • End-to-end quote-to-cash: deal and contract structuring, the invoicing platform and invoice generation, collections, cash allocation, revenue recognition and close
  • Partnering with engineering and data science to build billing models for usage-based contracts

Automation and systems

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
