Equifind is working with a well-established private equity firm, managing billions in capital, on their search for a Head of Financial Control.

This investor has a strong global footprint and a solid track record of delivering returns for their institutional investor base. They manage a broad and diverse portfolio of assets across the globe.

In this role, you'll sit at the heart of the finance team, owning financial control processes, keeping reporting accurate, and making sure everything stays compliant with regulatory standards. It's a good mix of strategic input, hands-on financial oversight, and team leadership.

What will I be doing?

  • Redesign and implement financial control frameworks, policies, and internal audit procedures to safeguard data integrity and ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance
  • Own the monthly close process, reviewing consolidated financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for accuracy against reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Lead external audit cycles end to end, managing PBC lists, walkthroughs, and remediation of findings with auditors
  • Build and monitor risk controls across financial transactions and reporting, identifying exposure and implementing mitigation frameworks
  • Manage and upskill the financial control team through technical training, performance reviews, and career development planning
  • Partner with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to inform strategic decisions

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
