The Opportunity:

Private Equity-Backed AI & SaaS Platform | High Growth | M&A | £30m ARR | £10m EBITDA

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Head of FP&A to join one of the UK’s most exciting and rapidly scaling AI and SaaS businesses.

Having grown 10x over the last two years, the business has secured significant institutional capital and is now firmly on a trajectory to become one of the highest-growth SaaS organisations in the UK. With approximately £30m ARR and £10m EBITDA, the organisation is targeting £100m ARR within the next 12 months, supported by both significant organic growth and an ambitious M&A strategy.

The business is highly acquisitive and intends to remain so. With substantial backing, a clear growth strategy and an appetite to push the boundaries of what is possible within the sector, this is a pivotal period in the organisation’s development.

The Head of FP&A will play a critical role in that journey.

The Role:

Reporting directly to a dynamic, forward-thinking and highly commercial Group CFO, the Head of FP&A will take ownership of the FP&A and commercial finance agenda across the Group.

This is not simply a reporting or budgeting position. The successful individual will be responsible for building and scaling a best-in-class FP&A function, developing the infrastructure, analytics, data and commercial insight required to support a business growing at exceptional speed.

Working closely with the CFO and a broad range of senior stakeholders, the Head of FP&A will become a key commercial partner to the organisation — challenging assumptions, improving decision-making and ensuring that data, analytics and increasingly AI-informed insight are embedded into the way the business operates.

As the organisation continues to scale, the individual will have the opportunity to build and lead a high-performing FP&A and commercial finance team, establishing the processes, systems, reporting and capabilities required to support a significantly larger organisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Partner with senior leadership across the organisation to drive greater commercial acumen and accountability.
  • Provide the CFO and Executive Leadership Team with insightful, forward-looking analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop sophisticated financial models to assess growth opportunities, investments, acquisitions and strategic initiatives.
  • Support the Group’s highly acquisitive strategy, including M&A analysis, financial due diligence, integration planning and post-acquisition performance tracking.
  • Establish meaningful KPIs and performance metrics across the Group, ensuring that management has a clear understanding of the drivers of ARR, revenue, margin, EBITDA, cash generation and growth.
  • Utilise data, automation, AI and modern analytical tools to improve the speed, quality and sophistication of financial insight.

  • Experienced within a PE or VC-backed SaaS, AI, technology or recurring-revenue business.
  • Comfortable operating at pace and within an organisation undergoing significant transformation and scale.
  • Experienced in M&A, transactions, debt financing and/or equity raises, with a strong understanding of the financial implications of growth and investment.
  • Highly analytical, commercially minded and able to translate complex data into clear, actionable insight.
  • An exceptional communicator who can influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Experienced in building and developing teams and finance capabilities.
  • Technologically curious, with a genuine interest in data, automation, AI and the future of finance.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and able to create structure where it does not yet exist.
  • Ambitious, intellectually curious and motivated by the opportunity to build something exceptional.

Why This Opportunity?

This is a rare opportunity to join a business at a genuine inflection point.

The successful individual will be joining at a stage where the organisation has already demonstrated extraordinary growth, but where the finance function is now required to evolve significantly to support the next phase.

The Head of FP&A will have genuine ownership and influence — working alongside an experienced Group CFO, helping shape the organisation’s financial strategy, building a team from the ground up and creating an FP&A function capable of operating at the highest standards.

For an ambitious finance professional, the opportunity is significant: £30m ARR today, £100m ARR targeted within 12 months, continued M&A and a long-term ambition to build one of the UK’s leading AI and SaaS platforms.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants to build, scale and fundamentally influence a high-growth technology business, rather than simply inherit an established FP&A function.
