HEAD OF FINANCIAL PLANNING, SENIOR FINANCIAL PLANNING LEADERSHIP
COMPETITIVE SALARY | HYBRID WORKING | HOME COUNTIES
We are exclusively working on a newly created Head of Financial Planning position for a highly respected and growing independent financial planning company based in Buckinghamshire. This is a senior leadership role with real substance, a genuine player-manager position where you will split your time between leading and developing the financial planning team and managing your own select book of HNW private clients.
The role:
- Senior Management Team member responsible for the vision, strategy, and performance of the financial planning team
- Approximately 50% of your time leading the team across capacity planning, recruitment, training, retention, culture, and quality of advice
- Approximately 50% of your time as a Chartered Financial Planner managing a personal bank of HNW clients
- Delivering excellent client outcomes through a strong advice proposition whilst driving commercial growth
- Working in partnership with the Growth Director on business development, marketing, and new opportunities
- Implementing change in line with regulatory requirements and business strategy

What we are looking for:
- Chartered Financial Planner with a minimum of five years' experience as an Financial Planner
- A proven leader with the ability to build, develop, and inspire a financial planning team
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical, planning, and decision-making skills
- Deep knowledge of wealth management, pensions, protection, and the broader UK financial services landscape
- Experience operating under SM&CR in an SMF or Certified capacity would be advantageous
- Action-oriented with an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for delivering outstanding client outcomes
