About the Role
It is an exciting time to join Redmayne Bentley, following our 150th anniversary.
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Financial Planning to lead and develop our Financial Planning function across the business. This is a key leadership role responsible for shaping strategy, driving growth, maintaining the highest standards of client advice and developing a high-performing team of Financial Planning professionals.
Working closely with the Partner & Director of Investment Management, Head of Investment Management and other senior leaders, you will have overall responsibility for the direction and performance of the Financial Planning function. You will lead the delivery of high-quality, compliant and client-focused advice while driving growth, developing the proposition and identifying opportunities to create additional value for clients and the business.
The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to lead and grow Financial Planning within an established and highly respected independent investment and wealth management firm, shaping the future direction of the service and its contribution to the firm's wider growth strategy.
The successful candidate will inherit a strong platform from which to grow, including:
- A substantial existing client base with significant Financial Planning potential.
- Strong and established referral relationships with Investment Managers across the firm.
- Growing demand from clients for holistic financial planning and advice services.
- The opportunity to shape the future structure, proposition and operating model of the Financial Planning function.
- The ability to build, develop and lead a high-performing team capable of supporting future growth ambitions.
The role offers significant scope to influence strategy, enhance the client proposition and create lasting value for clients and the business. It will suit an individual who is passionate about developing people, building capability and positioning Financial Planning as a key component of Redmayne Bentley's long-term growth ambitions.

What We Are Looking For
We're looking for an experienced Financial Planning leader who combines strong technical expertise with commercial awareness and a passion for developing people.
Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge
Essential
- Significant experience within Financial Planning, Wealth Management or Financial Advice.
- Proven leadership experience with responsibility for developing and leading high-performing teams.
- Detailed knowledge of Financial Planning, advice provision, FCA regulation and Consumer Duty.
- Experience developing, implementing or leading a Financial Planning strategy and/or proposition.
- Experience influencing and engaging senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and deliver growth opportunities.
- Minimum Level 4 Diploma qualified (or equivalent).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Desirable
- Chartered Financial Planner status.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams.
- Experience developing and growing a Financial Planning proposition.
- Existing professional connections and business development experience.
- Knowledge of investment management and discretionary wealth management services.
