Head of Financial Strategy

The Head of Financial Strategy will oversee financial planning and provide strategic direction to support the organisation's objectives.

Client Details

A London Local Government Organisation.

Description

  • Deliver the corporate plan on time and to budget
  • Create and build effective relationships internally and externally with key stakeholders.
  • Be accountable for delivering the MTFS plan
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Lead initiatives to improve financial efficiency and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with various departments like councillors and other boroughs.
  • Manage and develop the finance team - 4 reports.

Profile

A successful Head of Financial Strategy will have:

  • Proven Head of Finance experience in financial planning and strategy within Local Government.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.
  • Relevant professional qualifications in accounting or finance.

Job Offer

  • Daily rate of £650 - £800, dependent on the level of experience.
