Head of Fire Engineering - up to £90,000 + Bonus + Benefits - Ref 1978

I am currently recruiting for a Head of Fire Engineering to work for one of the UK's most highly regarded real estate organisations in the UK. This role can be based out of London, Bristol or Birmingham and hybrid working could be available for the right candidate. Salary up to £90,000 + Bonus + Benefits.

The organisation has a fantastic heritage having been established for a very long time and are recognised as leaders within their field. They are deemed the experts at what they do and have an unrivalled reputation in the market. They work on some of the most complex and prestigious projects within the UK.

To support the ongoing growth of the business they now have the need to appoint a Head of Fire Engineering on a permanent basis who can open up a completely new service line for them in house.

Role Responsibilities

Within this role as a Head of Fire Engineering, you will be responsible for establishing this new service line in house from scratch. Currently they work with 3rd parties to execute Fire Engineering work, so initially you will spend time liaising with their current partners to understand what they currently do, whilst getting an understanding of projects with a view of bringing them all in house. You will be leading the Fire Engineering function and will be hands on, however you will be expected to grow out this division which will involve hiring, training and developing colleagues to build your unit.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Head of Fire Engineering, Associate of Fire Engineering, Director of Fire Engineering or similar (Principal's or Team Leads will be considered who are looking to make the next step up)
  • Experience working in a consultancy

Desirable Requirements

  • Chartered
  • Previous experience establishing or growing a Fire Engineering function
