Head of Fleet & Automotive Partnerships | EV Charging

Location: London, minimum 2 days in office

Salary: £80,000+ + Annual Bonus + EV + Benefits

Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading European EV charging technology business looking to build a major position within the UK fleet, leasing and automotive market.

Fleet represents one of the company's biggest opportunities for growth, and they are looking for a senior market specialist who can take ownership of the channel and turn that opportunity into revenue.

This isn't a role for someone learning the fleet market. We're looking for someone who is already part of the UK fleet, leasing or automotive ecosystem, someone who understands how these organisations buy, knows the key players and has the credibility and relationships to start opening conversations from day one.

You could currently be a Head of Fleet, Head of Automotive, Head of Partnerships, Head of Corporate Sales, Fleet Director, Automotive Partnerships Lead or senior commercial leader within an EV charging provider, OEM, leasing company or mobility business.

What you'll do

  • Own and develop commercial strategy across fleet, leasing and automotive
  • Build strategic partnerships with automotive OEMs, leasing companies, fleet operators, brokers, dealer groups and salary-sacrifice providers
  • Use your existing industry network to create senior-level conversations and accelerate market entry
  • Identify and target the organisations with the greatest potential for charging partnerships
  • Personally manage strategic opportunities from initial engagement through proposition development, commercial negotiation and launch
  • Develop propositions around home charging, fleet electrification, workplace/depot charging and associated technology
  • Build relationships across multiple stakeholders including commercial, fleet, procurement, operations, product and senior leadership
  • Work closely with internal sales, partnerships, marketing, product and operational teams
  • Represent the business at relevant fleet and automotive industry events
  • Build a structured pipeline and account strategy for the channel
  • Support and lead a small team as the function develops
  • Work directly with the UK Managing Director, with the opportunity to take on broader commercial leadership responsibility as the business grows

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we're looking for

Your market background is the most important part of this hire.

You should come from one of the following:

  • EV charging – ideally with responsibility for fleet, automotive, leasing or strategic partnerships
  • Fleet / vehicle leasing – with strong commercial relationships across corporate fleets, OEMs and the wider mobility ecosystem
  • Automotive OEM – particularly fleet, corporate sales, B2B, partnerships or electrification
  • A closely related fleet technology or mobility business

You will ideally have:

  • A strong existing network within UK fleet, leasing and/or automotive
  • Relationships you can credibly activate at senior level
  • Experience winning complex B2B partnerships or national accounts
  • Strong understanding of fleet electrification and the changing EV landscape
  • Experience selling technology, infrastructure or complex commercial solutions
  • Some experience leading, mentoring or developing others
  • The ambition and capability to grow into a broader commercial leadership position
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial approach – you'll be expected to create the market rather than inherit an established book of business

Why join?

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a strategically important growth channel rather than simply inherit an established sales patch.

You'll work closely with the UK MD and wider European leadership, with the autonomy to build relationships, develop the proposition and shape how the company approaches the UK fleet and automotive market.

For the right person, there is also a clear opportunity for the position to develop into a broader senior commercial leadership role as the UK business grows.

  • £80,000+ base salary, flexible depending on experience
  • Annual Bonus
  • Company EV
  • Home EV charger
  • Private healthcare for employee and family
  • Employer pension contribution
