YOUR MISSION AT VOI
As Head of Fleet Management (UK&I), you’ll report directly to the General Manager – UK&I and be responsible for the Fleet Management organisation that keeps our fleet reliable and available on the streets. In this role you’ll lead around 150 people through several layers of management, across our warehouses and field operations. This is a senior, hands-on role with regular travel, in a business that has roughly doubled year on year. Your responsibilities will include:
- People & Performance: Coach the fleet managers who report to you across the UK&I, acting as their point of escalation, removing blockers and supporting their success.
- Communication & Prioritisation: Set the standard for what good looks like through clear and consistent communication and sharp prioritisation.
- Strategy & Planning: Work closely with the General Manager to develop the long-term fleet management strategy and budget, and set a plan for each city.
- Commercial Ownership: Take overall ownership of the cost side of the P&L, working with Operations Strategy and your fleet managers to steer spend, track KPIs and optimise for each city’s strategy and goals.
- Workforce Management: Plan capacity around demand and recruit the right talent to meet SLAs at the lowest cost.
- Physical Asset Management: Own and optimise vehicles, facilities and operational equipment, maximising utilisation and lifespan to keep the fleet moving and revenue flowing.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate closely with the UK&I leadership team and the Central Operations team to ensure a safe, compliant working environment across all facilities and field operations, contribute insights to our global operations discussions and build a high-performance culture as we keep growing.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
