Orwins

Orwins is a high-growth, PE-backed buy-and-build business, backed by Aliter Capital, and is entering an exciting period of continued growth and expansion.

The business has completed a number of acquisitions in recent months as part of its broader buy-and-build strategy, significantly increasing its scale and creating an increasingly complex and dynamic operating environment. With further growth expected, Orwins is focused on building the infrastructure, systems and capabilities required to support the next phase of its development.

This is an exciting time to join the business, with the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the finance function as Orwins continues to grow both organically and through acquisition. The Head of FP&A will be central to this journey, providing the financial insight, modelling and commercial challenge required to support decision-making, track performance across the expanding group and help drive value creation.

The role will have significant exposure to the senior leadership team and Aliter Capital, with the opportunity to influence strategy, support future acquisitions and help professionalise the FP&A function as the business scales.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the FP&A function, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning and performance reporting.
  • Provide high-quality financial analysis and commercial insight to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions and operational performance.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to support scenario planning, business cases, investment decisions and acquisitions.
  • Partner closely with business unit and functional leaders, providing commercial finance support, insight and constructive challenge.
  • Develop meaningful KPIs and performance reporting to ensure management has clear visibility of business performance and key value drivers.
  • Prepare Board-level reporting and investor materials, ensuring information is clear, accurate and commercially relevant.
  • Support the evaluation and execution of M&A activity, including financial analysis, due diligence, modelling and business case development.
  • Support the integration of acquired businesses, including performance tracking, synergy analysis, KPI alignment and reporting.
  • Work closely with the wider finance function to ensure strong alignment between FP&A, financial control and operational finance.
  • Drive the continued professionalisation and development of the FP&A function, improving processes, reporting and analytical capability.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance systems, tools and processes, including increased automation and use of data and technology.
  • Act as a key finance liaison with Aliter Capital and other private equity stakeholders, ensuring timely, transparent and insightful communication.
  • Support the senior finance team on ad hoc strategic projects and value-creation initiatives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
