Remuneration: £100,000 - £120,000 + Bonus

The Role
Finatal has partnered with a Private Equity backed pharmaceutical company who is searching for an experienced Head of FP&A to drive growth and value creation. Having grown from £50m t/o to 150m t/o in the last 3 years the company is looking to expand their commercial finance function and bring in a strong Head of FP&A who is able to help the company develop further in preparation for an exit sale.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and 3–5-year strategic planning processes.
- Own Board, Executive, and PE investor reporting, providing clear performance insights and recommendations.
- Develop financial models covering revenue, EBITDA, cash flow, and scenario planning.
- Partner with Commercial, Medical, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and R&D teams to drive profitability and growth.
- Identify and deliver value creation initiatives focused on EBITDA expansion and margin improvement.
- Oversee pricing, product profitability, business cases, and investment appraisals for new products and markets.
- Drive cash flow forecasting, working capital optimisation, and liquidity management.
- Support M&A activity, including acquisitions, due diligence, integration planning, and synergy tracking.
- Lead finance transformation initiatives, enhancing reporting, automation, and FP&A systems.
- Act as a strategic partner to the CFO, CEO, Board, and Private Equity sponsors, supporting exit readiness and investor value creation.

- Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Proven experience within a pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, healthcare, or CDMO environment.
- Previous experience operating in a PE-backed business and working with investors, lenders, and Boards.
- Strong track record of leading annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range strategic planning cycles.
- Experience presenting financial performance, KPIs, and business recommendations to Executive and Board-level stakeholders.
- Advanced financial modelling, scenario planning, and investment appraisal capabilities.
- Demonstrable experience driving EBITDA growth, margin improvement, and value creation initiatives.
- Experience supporting M&A activities, due diligence, integrations, refinancing, or exit processes.
- Proven leader with the ability to build high-performing FP&A teams and drive finance transformation initiatives.
