Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

We're partnering with a highly regarded bank to appoint an experienced Head of FP&A.

This is a commercially focused leadership position, working directly with the CFO and executive leadership team to shape financial strategy, improve decision-making and support the firm's continued growth.

The successful individual will lead the FP&A function, oversee planning and forecasting processes, and provide meaningful insight across the business. This role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to influence strategic initiatives within a fast-paced, high-performing investment environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the firm's budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes.
  • Deliver high-quality board reporting, executive dashboards and performance analysis.
  • Partner with senior business leaders to provide commercial insight and strategic financial support.
  • Drive improvements in FP&A processes, reporting and financial systems.
  • Develop KPI frameworks and management information to support business performance.
  • Lead, mentor and develop the FP&A team.
  • Support strategic projects, business cases, investment decisions and operational initiatives.
  • Work closely with Finance, Investor Relations, Operations and Investment teams to ensure robust financial planning across the organisation.

About You

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
  • Significant FP&A leadership experience within regulated environments (ideally banking).
  • Strong commercial mindset with exceptional stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership and Board-level stakeholders.
  • Advanced financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting capability.
  • Experience improving finance processes, reporting and planning tools.
  • Confident leading and developing high-performing teams (need management experience).
