Head of Franchising

Location: Hybrid, Slough & Regional Travel

Salary: Competitive & Excellent Benefits

AION Auto UK is a joint venture between Jameel Motors and GAC Group, one of China's largest automotive manufacturers. Following the successful UK launch of the AION V SUV and AION UT hatchback this year, AION is entering an exciting new phase of growth as it expands its presence across the UK.

With a growing portfolio of electrified vehicles, including Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV), Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV), Range Extended Electric Vehicles (REEV) and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), AION is building a retail network capable of supporting long-term growth and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

As part of a fast-growing automotive business, you will have the opportunity to help shape the future direction of the brand and play a key role in establishing AION as a leading name in the UK's electrified vehicle market.

About the Role

As Head of Franchising, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development and expansion of AION's UK retail network. Working closely with the Director of Network Development, senior leadership and retail partners, you will drive the franchise strategy, secure high-quality representation and ensure the network is positioned to support both commercial growth and customer satisfaction.

This is a highly visible role combining strategic network planning, franchising expertise, stakeholder management and project leadership. You will be responsible for managing the franchise lifecycle from prospect identification through to retailer appointment and site launch, while continuously optimising network coverage and partner performance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
