About Chelsea Theatre
Chelsea Theatre is both a community centre and a theatre, offering a safe space with free activities for local residents by day and creative events attended by diverse Londoners by night. Open Monday to Saturday, the venue includes a café, bar and terrace, rehearsal studios, meeting and exhibition spaces, and a 130-seat theatre used both for our own activities and available to hire.
Our vision is for Chelsea Theatre to be a powerhouse for developing local creative talent.
Young people are at the heart of our vision. We run a youth development programme in partnership with Chelsea Youth Club for ages 11-25 in theatre, music, and visual art.
Our purpose is to provide a vibrant community hub that improves the wellbeing of residents and brings affordable live performance to the World’s End and Chelsea.
We are based in the World’s End, an area of social housing with some of the highest levels of deprivation in London. The team supports vulnerable people in challenging circumstances to take part in social activities from knitting to yoga to African dance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
