Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a fantastic charity to recruit for an ambitious and collaborative Head of Fundraising & Marketing to join its Senior Leadership Team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced fundraiser who enjoys combining strategic leadership with hands on delivery and who is motivated by building sustainable income and long term relationships with supporters.
The Role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will take the lead on all aspects of fundraising and marketing, developing and delivering an ambitious fundraising strategy that supports the organisation's wider objectives.
You will lead a diverse team covering fundraising, marketing, events, community, corporate, trusts and grants, individual giving and supporter administration. You will provide clear direction, develop your team and ensure everyone is working towards shared income and engagement objectives.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve annual income targets.
- Leading and developing a broad fundraising programme across individual giving, legacy giving, corporate partnerships, community fundraising, events, trusts and foundations, grants and lottery.
- Identifying new opportunities, income streams and potential partnerships to support sustainable growth.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with major donors, corporate partners, sponsors and other key supporters.
- Monitoring fundraising performance and using data and insight to evaluate and improve campaigns and activities.
- Preparing and managing the fundraising budget and ensuring resources are used effectively.
- Leading, motivating and developing the fundraising and marketing team, supporting a positive and collaborative culture.
- Overseeing the recruitment, management and engagement of staff and volunteers within the team.
- Developing and delivering an integrated marketing and communications strategy alongside the Marketing & Communications function.
- Ensuring the organisation has a strong and consistent brand, tone of voice and presence across its communications.
- Overseeing engaging content across the website, social media, newsletters, press releases, annual reports and other channels.

About You
We are looking for an experienced fundraising professional with a successful track record of delivering income and developing fundraising programmes within the charity sector.
You will ideally bring:
- Significant experience in a similar fundraising leadership role.
- A proven track record of successful charity fundraising and achieving financial targets.
- Experience of developing and implementing departmental or organisational fundraising strategies.
- Strong experience across a range of fundraising disciplines and income streams.
- Experience of leading, recruiting and developing a team.
- Confidence in budgeting, financial planning and preparing business cases.
- The ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and remain calm under pressure.
- Experience of working with and supporting volunteers.

Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £50,000 per annum
- Contract type: Full-time, Permanent
- Location: Bromsgrove, Worcestershire hybrid working
