Role Description
The Head of Fundraising & Events is a full-time role responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support CAHN’s mission. This hybrid role is based in Greater London, with a mix of on-site work and some work from home. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Identifying and cultivating relationships with major donors, philanthropists, charitable trusts, and corporate partners
- Managing donor stewardship and reporting
- Overseeing the planning, promotion, and delivery of fundraising events
- Ensuring fundraising events align with CAHN’s values and generate sustainable income
- Leading on fundraising campaigns
- Preparing compelling funding proposals and impact reports
- Coordinating with communications and program teams
- Managing a small team or volunteers to achieve income targets

Qualifications
- Strong fundraising and philanthropy skills, including experience designing and implementing fundraising strategies
- Experience working with major donors and charities, including relationship management and donor stewardship
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write persuasive proposals and deliver clear presentations to diverse audiences
- Experience in event planning and management, including budgeting, logistics, and post-event evaluation
- Strong organizational and project management abilities, with capacity to meet income targets and manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of issues affecting Caribbean and African communities and a commitment to tackling health inequalities would be highly beneficial
- Experience in the nonprofit or charity sector, ideally in a senior fundraising or development role, is desirable
- Relevant qualifications in fundraising, nonprofit management, communications, or a related field would be an advantage
