Ambu A/S is looking for a Head of Global Downstream Product Management, Gastroenterology (GI) & Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT)

In this key position you will be overall responsible for defining and executing the global downstream marketing strategy for GI & ENT endoscopy in Ambu. You will own a multi-year agenda, set direction and ultimately enable our salesforce to drive the single-use transition across the two business areas. You will be globally responsible for driving new product launches and ensuring success of the portfolio.

You’ll join a dedicated Global Product Management team focusing on our GI & ENT portfolio, wherein you will lead the downstream team of 3 people. You will work closely with our sales territories, marketing centres of excellence and cross-functional partners across the business, as well as, collaborate directly with healthcare professionals worldwide. The role comes with broad global exposure, close collaboration with leadership, and the opportunity to make a lasting mark on Ambu’s fast growing endoscopy business.

Ambu is on an ambitious journey to become an endoscopy leader. As part of this ambitious goal, we intend to be at the forefront of commercial execution. This position will play a critical role in enabling commercial success.

Your Responsibilities

You set the global strategic direction for downstream marketing in GI & ENT, and own the overall agenda for the years to come including:

  • Define overall customer segmentation and targeting
  • Develop value proposition, positioning and pricing strategy
  • Drive strong evidence generation and market access support

You drive the execution of the strategy by spearheading key global initiatives in close collaboration with global and local stakeholders including:

  • Providing commercial enablement and tactics to the salesforce anchored in a strong commercial toolbox including marketing materials, sales tools, etc.
  • Being overall responsible for global launches including launch strategy and proactive performance tracking
  • Driving key new initiatives including KOL engagement, strategic partnerships, etc.

You build and engage the global GI & ENT communities as the global counterpart and trusted sparring partner including:

  • Providing effective people leadership and stakeholder management, including strengthening downstream capabilities across the organization
  • Building an ambitious commercial community with a strong growth mindset to deliver on the overall strategy
  • Sparring on commercial performance as well as market- and competitor trends
  • Being a source of customer insights back to the global strategy and upstream team

What We’re Looking For

Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you have:

  • Strategic mindset and strong business acumen with the ability to convert strategic perspectives to commercial tactics on global scale.
  • International experience in downstream product management or other commercial roles within MedTech or other related healthcare industries
  • Track record in successfully conducting global launches including strategic launch plans, marketing- and training materials, KPI tracking, etc.
  • International experience from endoscopy (preferable GI and / or ENT) or a surgical field. A relevant KOL network would be considered a strong advantage, but not a prerequisite
  • Leadership experience with a strong passion for developing colleagues and a proven ability to improve team performance.
  • A proactive, analytical, and collaborative personality, thriving in global, fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as ability to tailor communication for diverse audiences including HCPs, executives, and commercial teams.

This position is ideally based in our HQ in Ballerup but can be performed remotely from any of our key commercial markets. As this is a global role, international travel should be expected
