Head of Global Payments Internal Audit - EMEA

Salary: £90,000 - £150,000 per annum + Benefits

About the Role
A leading global technology and digital media business is seeking an experienced Internal Audit professional to support its growing Payments function across EMEA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and delivery of the annual Global Payments audit plan, ensuring alignment with key risks and regulatory requirements.
- Identify emerging risks and regulatory obligations to inform audit scope and testing programmes.
- Execute regulatory and operational audits across areas including AML/CTF, PSD2, safeguarding and broader payments controls.
- Leverage data analytics throughout audit planning, risk assessment, fieldwork and continuous monitoring activities.
- Develop risk and control matrices, audit test plans and other audit documentation.
- Prepare clear, concise and insightful audit reports for senior stakeholders.
- Track and validate remediation actions, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.
- Stay abreast of evolving regulatory requirements, industry developments and emerging risks across the payments sector.
- Travel internationally (up to 30%).

Person Specification:
- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, CISA, CPA, CFA, CIMA or equivalent.
- Strong Internal Audit experience within payments, fintech, financial services or technology businesses.
- Good knowledge of UK and European payments regulations, licensing and compliance frameworks.
- Experience assessing regulatory, operational and financial controls, with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including presenting findings to senior leadership.
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Interest in technology and the ability to quickly understand complex products and business models.
