Job Vacancy: Head of Golf Operations at Foxhills Collection

Foxhills Collection is seeking a dedicated Head of Golf Operations to join our team and contribute to leading the seamless operation of our renowned golf facilities at our prestigious establishment.

Responsibilities

  • Line manager to all members of the Golf Operations team, ensuring rotas are in place and all jobs correctly allocated on a daily basis to match business demands.
  • Drive a five-star host experience across the arrival, bag drop, driving range, 1st tee and on-course experience (marshalling, F&B).
  • Lead the recruitment, training and mentoring of the golf operations, retail and services teams, in line with 59 club standards of service excellence.
  • Interacting with every guest in a professional and courteous manner whilst striving to ensure that every guest leaves Foxhills feeling better than when they arrived.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and organizing merchandise in the golf shop.
  • Supervise the PACE system, including the functionality of all cart GPS screens and security of all walking tags.
  • To liaise with the Director of Golf on the administration of funds and in the preparation of annual budgets. Work to achieve financial KPI’s, not limited to revenue performance, conversion and membership renewal.
  • Ensure tee sheets are closely managed, including yield setup to drive a competitive visitor experience.
  • To work closely with the professional and sales teams to ensure the group golf business (corporate golf days) run to the highest standard.
  • Attend competitor venues, ensuring your team’s offering stay at the forefront of contemporary golf resorts.
  • Responsible for the safety and provision of the fleet of 46 carts, trolley and hire set stock and make sure the fleet is kept clean and in good working order ready for each day.
  • Manage and maintain the Trackman Academy including the collection of range balls and complimentary ball offering for members.
  • Meet with the Senior Professional PGA team monthly, to ensure that the coaching demands are met, whilst existing in unison with golf operations footfall.

Requirements

  • PGA Certification is preferred but not essential.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a golf or hospitality environment.
  • Passion for golf and a basic understanding of golf etiquette and rules preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic computer skills for processing reservations and transactions.
