Description

The Role

The Head of Group Corporate Communications leads the development and execution of DAZN’s external corporate communications strategy to build awareness, understanding, and positive perceptions of DAZN, its strategy, and its progress among key external audiences. The role enhances DAZN’s visibility and reputation through effective media relations, partner engagement, internal advisory, and cross-market coordination. It ensures consistent messaging aligned with DAZN’s goals and narrative across multiple audiences, through the media, at conferences and events, online, and via industry awards.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Execute DAZN’s corporate media relations strategy, building and strengthening relationships with target publications, editors, and journalists.
  • Develop and deliver communications plans, including press releases, media alerts, story ideas, exclusives, and timely responses to media enquiries.
  • Develop and manage compelling social media content for DAZN Group LinkedIn and key DAZN executives, monitoring engagement, impact, and issues.
  • Lead communications planning and delivery across the Group, providing guidance to internal and external stakeholders and ensuring messaging is aligned and well-timed.
  • Coordinate closely with in-market communications teams to identify opportunities, support local and global storytelling, manage issues, and ensure consistency of messaging.
  • Build and manage relationships with strategic external partners, creating collaborative opportunities to tell the DAZN story and build its reputation.
  • Lead DAZN Group’s participation in industry conferences, events, and awards, including opportunity identification, planning, materials, and speaker preparation.
  • Provide communications advice and guidance to executive leadership, functional heads, and subject matter experts, while providing strategic direction and leadership to communications teams across DAZN.

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years’ experience in external corporate communications, ideally within global sport, entertainment, or technology, with high-growth or start-up experience highly desirable.
  • Proven track record delivering outcome-focused UK and international media relations, building brand reputation across global markets, and effectively managing issues.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with editors and journalists, ensuring awareness and understanding of the business.
  • Able to develop, articulate, and secure buy-in for compelling, creative communications plans.
  • Experienced in shaping and managing a high-volume, varied news agenda around a clear and connected strategic narrative.
  • Excellent storytelling, messaging, and written communication skills across press releases, positioning statements, social media, and thought leadership.
  • Highly motivated and comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous, and cross-cultural environments, with a hands-on approach suited to high-performing, lean teams.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with proven experience working cross-functionally and with C-Suite stakeholders to drive alignment and deliver results.
