Looking for an Interim Global Head of Reporting

About the Role

Looking for an Interim Global Head of Reporting to join a leading listed media business. The role sits in their Group Controllership and Reporting team during a period of increased workload and significant corporate activity.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will lead external financial reporting, group consolidation and monthly reporting, while overseeing the Consolidation and Technical Accounting teams. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, external auditors, and the Audit Committee.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly Group consolidation and financial reporting.
  • Oversee preparation of annual and interim financial statements.
  • Review consolidation workings, FX, reserves, journals, and cash flow reporting.
  • Oversee technical accounting and implementation of new IFRS standards.
  • Act as a key contact for external auditors and support Audit Committee reporting.
  • Prepare and review technical accounting and senior leadership papers.
  • Oversee reporting systems and Chart of Accounts governance.
  • Manage forecasting for areas including IFRS 2, amortisation, acquisition liabilities, and NCI.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the consolidation and reporting team.

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
  • Significant Group Financial Controllership and Reporting experience.
  • Essential UK listed company experience, including preparation/review of Group accounts, annual reports, and interim statements.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Extensive group consolidation and month-end reporting experience.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders, external auditors, and Audit Committees.
  • Strong team leadership and ability to manage high-pressure reporting periods.
  • Media industry experience desirable.
