Head of Group Finance

A well-known and much-loved FTSE Consumer business based in London is currently looking to recruit a Head of Group Finance on a 9-12 month fixed term basis. You will lead a talented team of 4 and be accountable for all things Group Finance related apart from Group FP&A, however, you will of course have regular interaction with the team.

This role will have maximum exposure, both internally with Exec team and external audiences too.

  • Owner of all accounting policies for all processes, and the key point of contact for policy changes
  • Oversee and sign-off the Group consolidation and assist with the prep of Group accounting entries
  • Oversee the Group Reporting team’s prep for external and internal audit, and lead discussion with auditors on annual statements
  • Oversee the Year end process and prep of monthly Group reporting to the board, with ad-hoc technical accounting guidance as/when needed.
  • Accountable for the financial statement for all Group and UK Stat entities

Skills, experience and technical background:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
  • Attention to detail and a ‘hands on’ approach to tasks when needed
  • Approachable personality and someone who is very much culture focused
