I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What skills do you need to have to be considered?
- A minimum of 5 years' D2C / Growth Marketing experience, ideally within a D2C subscription brand
- Strong Shopify / D2C experience is critical - this is NOT an omni-channel brand, so pureplay D2C experience is highly preferred

- Deep expertise in Meta performance marketing and media buying - you'll need to be genuinely expert-level here
- Exceptional Retention experience, including email flows and CRM
- A track record of delivering strong, demonstrable growth for a D2C brand generating £10m+ revenue
- Experience scaling TikTok would be a strong added bonus
- Comfortable operating without a big team to begin with (1 direct report), but with a view to building a team as the business continues to scale
In return for everything you can bring, the business can offer you 🚀:
- Competitive basic salary (£100k - £120k, depending upon experience)
- Remote working role, UK
- Bonus
- EMI shares/equity
- AXA Healthcare scheme
- Monthly wellbeing allowance
- Personal Development & Learning allowance
